Dr. D. Ivan Young holds the ICF Master Certified Coach credential — the highest of the three tiers the International Coaching Federation grants, and, in the coaching world, the gold standard. Beyond that, he is an EMCC Global Master Practitioner, a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, a Certified Professional Diversity Coach, and a Master MBTI Practitioner — which means reading personality and human behavior isn't a hobby for him, it's a certified expertise. He's also a Professional Fellow at the Institute of Coaching, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.
Why the credentials matter to you
Anyone can post a relationship quiz. Very few of the people who do have earned the credentials that make their read trustworthy. Master-level certification isn't a title you buy — it's hundreds of supervised hours, examined competency, and independent board review.
